2009

• snowflake Co., Ltd established in Japan as first subsidary outside Switzerland
• first customer in Japan: Makuhari International School

2008

• launch of snowflake's hosting center
• doubled the office space in Zurich, held open day party with free beer (open source)
• new product todoyu was born, taking part at Open Source Business Award competition
• relocation of office in Bern to Amthausgasse 18
• attend exhibitions: OpenExpo Bern, ECM forum, Orbit-iEX, OpenExpo Zürich with Hackontest
• held first TYPO3 5.0 Developer Workshop in Zurich
• new corporate idendity: the Swiss TYPO3 agency became "Premium Open Source"
• new corporate design with change of the logo
• adding Magento eCommerce to the product portfolio
• launch of blog extension for TYPO3: T3BLOG
• participate at JETRO Bizmatch @ CEATEC Japan
• achieved close to 500 projects, also many new enterprise customers, e.g. rieter.com and beobachter.ch

2007

• rapid growth of snowflake's business in Switzerland
• visit Japan for market research, follow-up meetings
• attending Orbit-iEX exhibition with own booth
• receiving first Japanese visitors at snowflake in Zurich
• participate at JETRO Bizmatch @ CEATEC Japan
• snowflake has 25 staff members

2006

• attending Orbit-iEX exhibition with own booth for the first time
• pmTool (later became todoyu) was initiated
• first contact with JETRO at their Geneva office
• first participation at JETRO Bizmatch @ CEATEC in Japan
• meetings with TYPO3 users in Tokyo
• first system engineer sent to Japan for project development
• snowflake has 12 staff members

2005

• establish new office location in the city of Bern
• relocation of Zurich office to Zweierstrasse 35
• snowflake has 8 staff members

2004

• co-founded the international TYPO3 Association

2002

• company is moving from Rüschlikon into the city of Zurich (Aemtlerstrasse 30)
• start working with TYPO3 CMS
• organizing first company events
• hire 2 more employees, snowflake has a total of 5 staff members

2000

• company is renting two office rooms at Greenpeace Switzerland
• all 3 co-founders work now full-time for snowflake
• snowflake has 3 staff members

1999

• various projects for small websites
• realizing the idea of establishing own company to offer professional web services to customers
• boarder.ch... snow... snowflakes... snowflake! The company name came to mind at 10pm smoking a cigarette on the home office balcony.
• establishing snowflake productions GmbH in Rüschlikon, Zurich

1998

• First website of Adrian Zimmermann and Dominic Brander: www.boarder.ch
• Markus Rohner is joining the team for organizing snowboard events
• working at a home office
